Surgismart (House of Surgicals) is a licensed medical device distributor based in Choolai, Chennai. We supply genuine medical and surgical products to home users, doctors, clinics and hospitals across India. Where our products come from
We are a distributor, not a manufacturer (except our own Surgismart scrub suits). We supply products from brands such as Tynor, United Medicare, Acare, Omron, Beurer, Romsons and Medvance, sourced through authorised supply channels. Every item is brand-new and supplied in the manufacturer's original sealed packaging with its label, batch details and instructions for use.
Sterile vs non-sterile products
- Sterile disposables (for example syringes, catheters, IV sets and sterile drapes) are sterilised by the manufacturer and stay sterile only while the original pack is sealed and undamaged, and until the expiry date printed on the pack. Sterility, the sterilisation method and the expiry date are stated on the manufacturer's label; we do not open, repack or re-sterilise them.
- Reusable surgical instruments are supplied clean but non-sterile. Like instruments from any supplier, they must be cleaned and sterilised (for example by steam autoclave) by the user or the hospital CSSD before first use and after every use.
Warranty and after-sales support
Where a product carries a warranty (for example many BP monitors and nebulizers), the warranty is provided by the brand, and the warranty period is shown on the product page and in the box. Your Surgismart order confirmation is your proof of purchase. If a device develops a fault, message us on WhatsApp at +91 63743 55690 and we will help you reach the brand's service centre and raise the claim.
Dispatch and delivery
- Orders placed before 2 PM, Monday to Saturday, are dispatched the same day from our Chennai premises.
- Delivery usually takes 2–3 working days within Tamil Nadu, 3–4 in other South Indian states, 4–6 in the rest of India, and 6–9 for the North-East, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the Andaman Islands.
- Shipping is free on orders above ₹999. Cash on Delivery is available, with a ₹50 COD fee; paying online saves 5% (up to ₹100).
- Delivery is handled by courier partners; if a shipment is delayed, WhatsApp us with your order number and we will chase it.
Returns
For hygiene and safety, medical and surgical products cannot be returned once delivered. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, report it within 48 hours of delivery with a continuous unboxing video and we will replace or refund it. Surgismart scrub suits can be returned or exchanged on a request raised within 48 hours of delivery. Full details: refund policy.
