The mattress's air cells inflate and deflate in turn, so no part of the body bears pressure for too long, which helps prevent pressure ulcers (bedsores) on the back, hips and heels.

Bubble or tubular air mattress?

Bubble-cell mattresses suit patients at low to moderate risk who spend a large part of the day in bed. Tubular (cell-type) mattresses have larger cells and give deeper pressure relief for high-risk patients such as those with paralysis or very limited movement.

Tips
